Party Wall Matters
The Party Wall etc. Act 1996 (“the Act”) relates to works of construction on or at boundaries, works of excavation, and excavation for and construction of foundations within certain distances of adjacent structures.
Party Wall work is undertaken in accordance with RICS Guidance Note "Party wall legislation and procedure" 7th Edition.
Expert Witness Services
Appointments as an expert witness are accepted in cases before the Courts, Tribunals or Arbitrators.
An appointment as an expert witness can be made by one of the parties or as a single joint expert witness appointed by both parties on behalf of the court
We are familiar with the duties of experts under the Civil Procedure Rules Part 35.
Expert Witness services provided in accordance with RICS Practice Statement and Guidance Note "Surveyors acting as expert witnesses" 4th Edition.
Construction Defects Analysis
Construction defects arising from poor/incorrect construction or where building elements have come to the end of their useful life.

Design Defects
A construction defect is a deficiency in the design or construction of a building or structure, resulting from a failure to design or construct the works in a reasonable and workmanlike manner and/or in accordance with a contractual provision or specification.

The correction of building defects and replacement of elements not performing as intended.
